Nigel J. E. Pitt
My mathematical interests are
in the theory of
automorphic forms ,
especially their role in number theory although recently I have been
investigating their spectral behaviour.
After studying at King's College in
the University of London, I did my Ph.D. with
Henryk Iwaniec at
Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, and was an Assistant Professor at the
University of Michigan from 1992 to 1995, when I
moved to the Universidade de Brasilia .
Publications:
- On shifted convolutions of $\zeta^3(s)$ with
automorphic $L$-functions, Duke Math. J, Feb 1995.
- On pairs of closed geodesics on hyperbolic surfaces, Annales de l'Institut
Fourier (Grenoble), 49 (1), 1999.
- On a sum formula for fourth powers of Maass cusp forms and their
spectral growth (in preparation)
Here are some web pages that I think are fun.

let me apologise in advance....
